We’re so glad you’re considering applying to Maryland. To start on the right path, carefully review our requirements for admission.High school students and students with fewer than 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of university-level credit beyond secondary school.
High school graduates who completed at least 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours at a regionally accredited college or university.
Students who hold or intend to seek an F-1 Student or J-1 Exchange Visitor visa to study in the United States. All other non-immigrant visa holders (including A, E, G, H, I, and L), permanent residents and U.S. citizens who wish to apply for undergraduate admission should follow the regular application instructions for freshman or transfer admission.
Students with approximately 60 transferable credits who are interested in earning a University of Maryland, College Park degree in biological sciences, business, communication or criminal justice at The Universities at Shady Grove.
