Orientation

The first step in your transition to Maryland is to attend Orientation.  During Orientation, you will be able to meet with an advisor, select classes, meet new and continuing students and become more familiar with campus. 

You can register for Orientation after you have confirmed your enrollment (remember it may take up to 48 business hours for your confirmation to be processed and posted to your record).  Orientation is required for all new University of Maryland students. 

Click here for the orientation schedule and registration information.  You will also be able to learn about the required online math placement exam and online surveys, as well as create your University ID and email.

Note: Students admitted for the Spring 2009 semester will be able to register for orientation beginning in September 2008.
