Directions to Campus by Automobile

From Virginia and Points South, Via MD Side of Capital Beltway (I-495):

  • Take I-95 North to the Capital Beltway (I-495)
  • Follow I-95/I-495 North toward Baltimore
  • Take Exit 23 “201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt”
  • Turn left at light “To Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg”
  • At 3rd light, turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway
  • Proceed approximately two miles to U.S. Route 1
  • Turn left onto US Route 1
  • Follow signs to turn right into Visitor Center parking area.

       OR

  • Take I-95 North to the Capital Beltway (I-495)
  • Follow I-95/I-495 North toward Baltimore
  • Take Exit 25, “U.S. 1 South, College Park”
  • Proceed approximately two miles on U.S. Route 1 South
  • Follow signs to turn right into Visitor Center parking area.

From Virginia and Points West, Via VA Side of Capital Beltway (I-495):

  • Take I-66 East or I-270 South to Capital Beltway (I-495)
  • Go East on I-495 toward “Baltimore”
  • Take Exit 28B “650 South New Hampshire Avenue Takoma Park”
  • Go South on New Hampshire Avenue, approximately 1/2 mile
  • At the second traffic light, turn left onto Adelphi Road
  • At the third traffic light, turn left onto University Boulevard (Route 193)
  • Turn right at next traffic light onto Stadium Drive
  • Refer to roadside map or use adjacent telephone to call Visitor Center by dialing 47777 (301-314-7777 via cell phone) for further directions.

  • Take I-66 East or I-270 South to Capital Beltway (I-495)
  • Go East on I-495 toward “Baltimore”
  • Take Exit 25, “U.S. 1 South, College Park”
  • Proceed approximately two miles on U.S. Route 1 South
  • Follow signs to turn right into Visitor Center parking area.
