Maryland Distinguished University Professor Wins Granada Poetry Prize
Another honor for Distinguished University Professor Jose Emilio Pacheco. The world-renowned poet has been awarded the 2005 International Poetry Prize of Granada (Spain), which is given to honor famed Granada poet, Federico Garcia Lorca. Pacheco, who lives with his family in Mexico City, is a full time member of the Maryland faculty and offers two graduate classes each Spring.
