New Hoodoo Find in Annapolis Suggests Durability of Practices
University of Maryland archaeologists have found new evidence of West African spirit practices, often called "hoodoo," surviving in Annapolis as late as 1920. The finding is based on an excavation in an 18th century mansion in the Annapolis historic district.
