Admitted Transfer Students

Congratulations!

You're on your way! If you have been offered a place in the University of Maryland's Transfer Fall 2008 entering class, here are a few things you need to know to become part of the excitement at Maryland.

The first step to enrolling at Maryland is to let us know your plans as soon as possible, but no later than the reply date on your Maryland Planner.

To respond to the offer of admission, please Confirm Your Enrollment. Once you confirm it may take up to 48 business hours for your confirmation to be processed and posted to your record.

Housing and Meals

Admitted students interested in living off campus this fall may conduct an Off-Campus Housing Search through the office of Off-Campus Housing Services.

On-campus housing is not guaranteed for transfer students.  If you are interested in living in the residence halls, you should Request Housing and Meals as soon as possible.  All housing requests are initially placed on a waitlist.  As space becomes available, even into the early weeks of the semester, students are moved off the waiting list and assigned a room and roommate. For more information about dining plans, visit the Department of Dining Services.

For information about parking on campus, visit the Department of Transportation.
