College of Education
The College of Education is a selective, research-based unit with special emphasis on science and math instruction, early childhood, elementary, secondary and special education. We are fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. Field experience is an integral part of teacher preparation, and our student teachers are exposed to some of the newest topics in teaching and school reform, such as multiculturalism, inclusion of students with disabilities, multi-age classrooms and the role of parents, businesses and community leaders in their local schools.
